Motorist has daylight sighting near Eureka witnessed in St. Louis County, Missouri

I was driving home after work one day in the summer, heading west. Just past Eureka there are some very large hills that the Interstate 44 has cut through. It was on the top of one of these hills I saw something standing there, pointing to the top of the other hill, on the other side of the Interstate. I only saw it until I passed the hill, and then my vision was blocked. It appeared very tall, and was very dark, almost all black. The arm seemed very long. What I found puzzling was that there was no light colored face, like in a human. It has taken me a while to report this, as I still am not completely sure what I saw that day. I can't get it out of my mind, that it was not a man. I could not see any clothes lines, like the end of a shirt or pants. It would have been to dangerous to pull over and back up on the Interstate, to get a better view.
