Possible footprints found in BC interior witnessed in British Columbia, Canada

Hi, On September 1st 2005 I went out on opening day deer hunt in central BC. With me was my 17 year old son and his girlfriend. I have been hunting this area for 20 plus years, and know it like the back of my hand. There are for main areas I hunt. In this one area I noticed no sign of game, birds, ducks etc... We decided to have lunch there. I felt that my senses had me on look out. I tried to nap but could not. I felt as if something was watching us. After lunch we went road hunting and returned to the same place to camp, however I stopped the truck about 100 yards from this dried out marsh and saw tracks that where, when walking, four feet apart and then the tracks veered to the left and started to run towards the nearest bush. I pulled the truck closer and got out. My son got out and was very scared. We all three smelt this terrible smell. Like burnt bone from a dentist it just stunk somthing awfull.
