Two stories of family member encounters but first I tell the origins and why it has this particular name. Story told by my late Great Grand Mother. Two spinster sisters lived in Fayette County by the last name of Comference. One night the sisters (as told by them in town the next day) said something got under there home and seemed to be confused as to how to get out from under the house and started "Screaming like a woman" and in atemts to stand upright banged the wooden floor planks with such force they buckled. It found its way out and ran screaming into the woods.From what they saw it had a dark Geayish hair covering it's body and ran like a man. Next day when the story was told in town The creature was dubbed "The Comference Booger". Because of things happening in the Cochran mill area it is also called the "Cochran Booger".
