Hunters find possible indications of habitation outside Hope witnessed in British Columbia, Canada

My brother and a friend and I were out hunting in the early morning. We were walking up a steep hillside at the end of a logging road. It was early morning and there was a heavy frost on the ground and low lying trees. When we got up to the top of the hill we came to a small opening on the top of the hill. It was a small clearing probably about one acre in size. By the time we got to the clearing the sun was up and the light was good. We were just about to continue hiking up the mountain from there when we began to notice some strange things. The first thing that we noticed was a small tree in the middle of clearing had been shredded. The tree was more like a tall shrub with many large branches coming of a cental trunk. All of the branches had ben either bitten off or ripped off at about 6 feet high. What was even stranger was that the branches were all paced in a neat pile beside the tree.
