I know exactly where that is, I used to go cross country skiing up there , being a beginner, we didn’t go far off the highway. Once we were up that dirt road near the picnic area, it was snowed in and no one had travelled it but we saw some huge tracks and it looked like it had rolled in the snow . We thought it was a bear and left. It would have been really early for a bear and we didn’t know bear footprints. They were not crisp and clear but we didn’t linger.around 2002.
