Bigfoot Charges at Men in Oregon Mountains in 1980s

A video recently surfaced on YouTube featuring a witness account that stopped me in my tracks. A man named Mark Corvin sits down and shares a terrifying encounter he had back in the mid-to-late 1980s near Grants Pass, Oregon, and the way he tells it - raw, emotional, still visibly shaken decades later - really gets under your skin. If you haven't watched it yet, carve out some time. This one stays with you.
Mark grew up riding dirt bikes all over the hills and mountains around Grants Pass. He heard Bigfoot stories his whole life but brushed them off as folklore. That changed one fall night in October or November, a few years after he graduated high school in '83.
He and a buddy named Mike, along with a girl Mike had just met, took Mike's lifted Toyota up an old skid road north of town, chasing the first snow of the season. They found a turnaround clearing cut into the side of a bank - the kind of spot loggers or folks building homesteads would use back then. Mark parked about 10 feet from the edge of the embankment and leaned against the truck bed drinking a beer while Mike and the girl played in the dusting of snow on the other side.
Dead calm night. Not a breath of wind. They'd only been there maybe 15 or 20 minutes when Mark glanced up the hill toward the tree line, roughly 50 yards away. The moonlight was backlighting the trees, casting silhouettes against the dark sky. Everything was still - except one tree. Shaped like a perfect little Christmas tree, and it was swaying back and forth. Nothing else around it moved.
Mark called Mike over. Thinking it was just some critter, Mark decided to walk up the hill and check it out. He took maybe two steps when the figure stood up and walked to the side. That's when everything went sideways.
Huge branches started snapping. Then came this warbling sound - Mark says it reverberated in his chest, like an attack made entirely of sound. And then the figure started coming down the hill through the woods. Fast. Like a freight train, as Mark puts it. The fear that washed over him was primal and overwhelming - a pure dread that he was going to die right there.
He bolted for the truck. Mike and the girl were already inside, ducked down low. Mark jumped in, fired up the Toyota, and floored it. The truck went sideways - to this day he's not sure if he clipped the back end or dropped into the ditch - but he didn't let off the gas until they were well away from that clearing.
The ride home was completely silent. Not a single word. Mike never wanted to talk about what happened, not until the day he passed away. Mark didn't really start sharing his story until years later, and even then it took him a long time to come to terms with it.
What really makes Mark's account stand out is when he mentions hearing the famous Sierra Sounds recordings years later. He recognized the warbling noise immediately. He describes it as something that shakes inside you - and hearing him talk about it, you believe him.
Mark worked at a hospital for over 37 years, and over that time, multiple doctors and colleagues quietly approached him with their own similar experiences from the same general area. The mountains around Grants Pass clearly hold a lot of activity for those paying attention.
The video is absolutely worth your time. Mark's delivery is what makes it - you can see the fear still hits him when he revisits that night, and there's something about a witness who was that close, who felt that level of terror, that really sticks with you. Go give it a watch.
