A chilling encounter with a possible Bigfoot has been reported in a video posted on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. The witness, Nick, describes his experience while squirrel hunting in Lancing, Iowa, near the Minnesota border and Yellow River State Forest. Nick, an outdoorsman from Allamakee County, was a freshman in high school when the incident occurred. He and two friends decided to go squirrel hunting near a shooting range, about 3 or 4 miles south of Lancing. As they walked up a hill, something crashed down towards them from the tree line, beating its chest and screeching like a chimpanzee. The creature's sounds were so loud that the witness could feel the percussion in his chest. The three friends ran down into a ditch and stood back-to-back with their squirrel rifles, waiting for the creature to attack. After a few minutes, the woods fell silent, and they never heard the creature leave. Nick recalls feeling pure terror and not remembering much of the rest of the day. The encounter has had a lasting impact on Nick's life, making him wary of hiking in unfamiliar areas and causing him to stick to fishing rather than hunting. He has noticed evidence of Bigfoot in the area, such as clams along the shoreline and a perfectly rounded rock near a clam bed. Nick's story is a fascinating addition to the world of Bigfoot research.
