Veteran's Shocking Bigfoot Encounter in Illinois Cornfield - 2008

A fascinating account of a possible encounter with a mysterious creature has been shared on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. The witness, Austin, describes seeing a tall, jet-black, humanoid figure with long, thin fingers while driving through cornfields in Farmington, Illinois in 2008. Austin, who was on leave from the Army at the time, was driving down a gravel road when he noticed the figure walking parallel to the road in the cornfield. He initially thought it was a piece of metal caught in the wind, but as he got closer, he realized it was a humanoid shape with shiny, jet-black skin. Austin couldn't make out any facial features, but he did see the creature's arms and legs, which he estimated to be around 7-8 feet tall. What's even more intriguing is that Austin mentioned that other people in the area have also reported seeing similar creatures. He said that his cousin and a few of her friends, as well as a guy he used to play darts and drink beer with, have all talked about sightings in the area. Austin couldn't quite say for sure if what he saw was a Bigfoot or something else, but he did mention that the creature's skin had a texture similar to elephant skin. He also mentioned that the fingers were thicker than a grown man's two fingers together and pointed, almost like it was wearing some sort of overcoat or shedding skin. The witness also mentioned that he heard about a similar sighting in Utah, where a man saw a jet-black, shiny creature with long fingers. This is particularly interesting as it suggests that these creatures may have a wider range than previously thought. While Austin didn't manage to capture any footage or photographs of the creature, he did mention that he wished he had taken the time to observe it more closely. Unfortunately, at the time, phones didn't have the same quality cameras as they do today, so capturing clear evidence would have been difficult. This account is a fascinating addition to the many stories of mysterious creatures that have been reported over the years. While we may never know for sure what Austin saw that night, it's always exciting to hear about new sightings and encounters.
