It was a mid-September afternoon in the 1970s, and Rusty was on his way home from school. As he often did, he stopped by an abandoned farm, which was known to be a gold mine for rusty nails. The farm had three barns, and Rusty was exploring the smaller one near the woodlands when something unusual caught his attention. He noticed two large pine trees swaying and breaking in the distance, with no apparent cause. The only sound he could hear was distant, low chanting in a language he didn't recognize. Curious and a bit creeped out, Rusty decided to investigate. As he climbed down the silo he was perched on, he saw a massive creature covered in dark brown fur, standing on two legs, just like a human. Rusty was frozen in fear as the creature picked up a nail he had dropped. The creature's face resembled a human, but with a more pronounced nose and large jaws. Its eyes showed intelligence and awareness, making Rusty feel as though he was looking at something that was neither animal nor human. Despite his fear, Rusty tried to communicate with the creature, apologizing for dropping the nail so close to it. The creature didn't respond but continued to stare at Rusty for a long time. Eventually, it gently placed the nail back where it found it and disappeared into the woods. Rusty's mother, who was waiting for him at home, noticed his delayed return and was relieved to see him. When he shared his encounter, she believed him, as the woods near their home were known to be strange and eerie. From that day on, she drove Rusty to school to avoid the woods.
