In 1971, Ron Moorhead and his friends went on a hunting trip in the Sierra Nevada mountains, north of Yosemite Valley. They stumbled upon a remote campsite, known as the bunker, which was located two miles from the nearest road and eight miles from the nearest trail. During their stay, they heard strange and terrifying sounds that were soft, uncanny, and almost human. Ron was so frightened that he hid in a makeshift hut, but the sounds continued for hours. After returning home, he began to wonder if he was going mad. He decided to ask his friends to join him on another hunting trip to the bunker. When they arrived, the strange sounds began again, and the group of men couldn't tell what was making them. Ron enlisted the help of his friend Al Berry, a journalist, who agreed to take his camera and recording equipment to the remote campsite to try their luck. They recorded the sounds, but even with modern forensic techniques, the fullness of their secret remains a mystery. The sounds have been analyzed and tested by dozens of experts, but their origin remains unknown.
