A recent video posted over on the Grassman58 YouTube channel details a pretty unsettling incident at Pierre Lake that has all the hallmarks of a possible Sasquatch encounter. The footage, which appears to be an on-site investigation, captures the narrator recounting a firsthand account from a camper who experienced something truly bizarre just a few days before the video was filmed.
According to the story shared in the video, a family had been camping at Pierre Lake on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. Campsite one, located at the very end of the campground, was where the wife and the family dog were left behind while the rest of the family headed out for the evening. Around 9:00 PM, with the campground unusually quiet, the woman suddenly heard what she described as a massive splash in the lake — like someone had hurled a boulder into the water.
The sound was so startling, and the atmosphere became so still afterward, that the dog immediately went on high alert, fixating on one direction and refusing to look away. The woman, understandably spooked, grabbed the dog and retreated into the trailer, where the pup continued to stare intently at the door.
Now, the narrator makes a fair point — it could have been a really big fish. But the sheer volume of the splash, described as a "gigantic explosion," and the absence of any beaver lodges in the area (which would explain a beaver tail slap) make that explanation feel a little thin. Add to that the fact that the narrator mentions having received other reports around Pierre Lake in the past, and you've got a situation worth paying attention to.
The video also includes some gorgeous drone footage of a bald eagle perched in a tree, which the narrator stumbled upon while surveying the area. It's a beautiful spot, not far from the Canadian border, and exactly the kind of remote, wooded location where Sasquatch sightings tend to cluster. Border regions and dense wilderness areas like this are often hotspots for activity, and the timing — late evening, near a body of water — fits a lot of the patterns researchers have noted over the years.
If you're into following up on these kinds of reports — the strange sounds, the animal behavior changes, the uneasy feeling that something is out there watching — this one is definitely worth a watch. The full account from the witness and the on-site exploration make for a compelling piece of footage. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.
