A video making the rounds on YouTube right now features some seriously intense call-in stories that deserve attention, especially for anyone who spends time in the woods or has had their own unexplained run-ins. The standout segment comes from a caller named Robbie Frell out of East Tennessee, who describes an encounter that'll make the hair on your arms stand up. Robbie is friends with researcher Harley Owens, and the two headed into Harley's research area for what turned out to be anything but a routine outing. According to Robbie, they were in there for a few hours when things started getting strange. Rock clacks. Rocks being thrown at them. And then the shadowing started. They felt like three or maybe four of them were following them through the dense laurel thickets for a solid two hours. Now, anyone familiar with Sasquatch research knows that mountain laurel is basically impossible to push through. It takes a machete just to hack your way through it. So when Robbie describes hearing something coming and then seeing this thing "busting through those laurels" like the Kool-Aid Man from the old commercials... that's a detail that should make anyone pause. Harley, who stands 6'6", told Robbie to run. Robbie, who's 5'7", looked over Harley's shoulder as they scrambled up a wet hill and could see the creature's head and shoulders above Harley. Thirty-five feet away. And it was angry. Robbie had a Glock 20 on his chest and didn't even think about it. That's how real this got. They made it back to a cemetery to regroup, and when they looked across the way, there was one standing there watching them. Robbie says he actually apologized to it. He didn't know what to do. The video also features another caller, Paul from central Virginia, who describes a different kind of encounter. He spotted a tall, upright creature near his mailbox one evening, something his dog refused to go near after that. Paul describes seeing glowing reddish-gold eyes at his kitchen window around 2 a.m., and the creature tapping and scraping at his windows after he prayed over his house. His dog now refuses to go outside after 6:30 or 7 p.m. Both stories are worth listening to in full. The Tennessee encounter in particular has all the hallmarks of a legitimate close encounter. The aggressive behavior, the territorial display, the bluff charge, the watching from a distance. East Tennessee has long been considered hot territory for Sasquatch activity, and Robbie's account adds another compelling data point to that body of evidence. Definitely worth checking out the full video for anyone interested in these phenomena.
