Nowadays we are hearing more about “selfiecides” in the great outdoors, where a person doesn’t use their common sense and their demise comes from trying to get that perfect picture. We aren’t going to talk about those though, tonight is more about the people who died or disappeared in the forest in more traditional ways: This is a roundup of 10 of the strangest disappearances that have occurred in national parks. While they aren’t being called dead directly, in most cases if you are missing in the wilderness for a long enough period of time it is assumed you are dead:

Most times it is understandable why someone may die an untimely death in the forest; accident, exposure, starvation, or dehydration are all common. Some people say that some people though blame disappearances on Bigfoot or the wendigo. Here is a story about how the wendigo lures its prey:
