Morton, Washington is no stranger to Sasquatch activity. Tucked away in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, this region has long been considered prime habitat for these elusive beings, with dense forests, rugged terrain, and an abundance of water sources that make it a perfect stomping ground. So when a group of campers set up near a quarry on March 26th, 2022, they probably didn't expect to find themselves in the middle of something straight out of a seasoned investigator's dream. A video posted to the YouTube channel CreepyZone details an encounter that has been making waves in the Sasquatch community. More than a dozen people were camping out in an L-shaped trailer setup when things took a turn for the strange. Rock clacking sounds started echoing through the woods, and someone got the bright idea to send up a thermal drone to see what was making all that racket. What the drone captured has got people talking. According to the witnesses, the thermal imaging picked up not one, but several massive humanoid figures moving among the trees. One camper described seeing a giant arm resting at an angle, attached to a body that was "very thick and very wide." His description was unforgettable — he said it looked almost like a refrigerator standing next to a tree, that symmetrical in width and depth. And here's the kicker: the drone operator and another witness both commented on being able to see the toes of the figure as it walked across the screen. That level of detail from a thermal drone is pretty remarkable. But the drone footage wasn't even the most intense part of the night. One of the campers, a man who admitted he didn't even believe in Bigfoot before this, ended up face to face with one of the figures for nearly 30 seconds. He described the encounter in vivid detail, saying the being stood there and stared at him while he stared back. He noted that the face didn't look gorilla-like at all, which is a common misconception about Sasquatch. Instead, he said it looked almost human, with a big nose, large eyes, a deep brow, and a more rounded head shape. The eyes, he said, were piercing and wild, giving him the unsettling feeling that if the creature wanted to, it could rip him apart in a heartbeat. That kind of face-to-face encounter is incredibly rare in Sasquatch research. Most sightings are fleeting glimpses, distant figures, or sounds in the night. To have a sustained visual of nearly half a minute, with the witness able to describe facial features in detail, is the kind of account that gets researchers' attention. The Pacific Northwest has a long history of such encounters, and Morton sits in an area that has produced consistent reports over the years. The campers also reported hearing two power knocks that were so loud they sounded like gunshots. Power knocks are a well-documented phenomenon in Sasquatch research, often described as percussive sounds made by striking trees or rocks together, and they're frequently associated with territorial displays or communication between individuals. The location where this all went down is near the site of what's been called the Cascades Encounter, another video that has circulated in the community. The campers mentioned finding sticks about six feet long near the trailhead the next day, which is consistent with stick structures sometimes attributed to Sasquatch activity in the region. One of the people in the video also shared that this was near where they had their first experience doing field research back in 2021 with the BFRO, the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, which has been documenting sightings across North America for decades. They had just won a Zoom H1n handheld recorder and were excited to try it out for the first time, capturing audio in their tent at 2 AM. This kind of multi-witness encounter with thermal drone corroboration and a face-to-face visual is exactly the type of evidence that fuels ongoing research into Sasquatch. The Pacific Northwest remains one of the most active regions for reported sightings, and accounts like this one continue to add to the growing body of evidence that these beings are out there, watching us just as much as we're watching them. The drone footage and the firsthand account from the witness make this one a must-see for anyone following Sasquatch research.
