Now this is the kind of story that keeps you up at night. A woman in central Texas, right near Fort Hood, has been dealing with some seriously unsettling activity behind her home for years, and the encounters she's described are the kind that make the hair on your arms stand up.
The witness, who goes by "D," has lived on this property since 1996, but the strange stuff didn't really kick off until around 2008 or 2009. That's when she started noticing footprints and hearing sounds that didn't match anything natural. We're not talking about your typical coyote howls or deer rustling through the brush. She describes these long, drawn-out vocalizations that seemed to go on forever, completely different from anything her dogs would produce.
Then in 2014, things got real. She was driving back from her mother's house around 4:00 in the afternoon in August, peak heat, probably close to 100 degrees, when she spotted something moving through a neighbor's backyard. It was tall, completely black, and had this quality of absorbing light around it, almost like looking at a black cat sitting in the sun but turned up to eleven. The creature had a flat-ish head that went up and then flat in the back, a rounded belly like a gorilla, but it was walking upright on two legs. Proportionate build, nothing exaggerated. It was just strolling along like it owned the place, moving from a clump of trees into a tree line.
But that's not even the creepiest part. On another occasion, while walking her dogs through the neighborhood, she came across something that stopped her dead in her tracks. About 20 or 30 feet ahead of her was a figure roughly the size of a 10 or 11-year-old boy. Black skin, big round black eyes, no pointed head, almost human in appearance, but with hair that looked like it had been plastered to its body, wet or dewy. Her dogs, who normally pull toward anything interesting, barely reacted. And here's where it gets wild: as she passed by, she locked eyes with it and got this overwhelming telepathic impression that it was trying to tell her "I'm a boy, I'm a boy." She pushed back mentally, told it she wasn't buying it, and kept walking. Absolutely chilling.
D also had an experience with her brother, who has since passed away. He used to walk with her because he had significant health issues and never matured past the age of 12. One morning at first light, they were walking along the main road when she caught movement on a hill behind her house. This hill is covered in those massive Texas cedar trees that can grow 15 to 20 feet tall and just as wide, with some oak or ash trees standing out along the ridge line. She watched as something on that ridge appeared to unfold itself, like it had been curled up or bent forward, and then started to stand up. The video cuts off right as she's describing it putting its hands somewhere, but you can imagine the rest.
And yes, she also mentions a Dogman encounter, though she doesn't go into extensive detail in this particular clip.
What's fascinating about D's story is the pattern. Texas has long been considered a hotspot for Sasquatch activity, with reports coming out of the Sam Houston National Forest, the Piney Woods region, and the Hill Country for decades. The Sam's Creek area and locations around East Texas have generated numerous sightings over the years, and central Texas, with its mix of dense cedar breaks, oak ridges, and remote properties, provides exactly the kind of habitat these creatures are said to prefer. The combination of thick cover, water sources, and relative isolation makes it perfect territory.
D also has some pretty wild backstory from her childhood in Arizona in the 1960s, including an encounter with what she describes as a gray alien-like entity with a round head and black holes for eyes that seemed to mock her, plus a voice she heard behind her ear warning her to move before it came toward her. She attributes the start of her strange experiences to dabbling with a Ouija board as a kid and later practicing witchcraft as a rebellious 14-year-old, though she quickly abandoned that path after the alleyway incident.
The full video goes into much more detail about all of these encounters, including the Dogman sighting, and it's absolutely worth the watch if you're into witness testimony. D comes across as a credible, level-headed person who isn't looking for attention, just trying to make sense of what's been happening around her property. The way she describes the light-absorbing quality of the creature she saw in 2014 is particularly striking, as that detail has come up in other Sasquatch reports over the years.
Check out the full video when you get a chance. It's a long one, but the details are worth it.
