Two Bigfoot Encounters: BC Scream and Kentucky Thermal Sighting

A recent video posted by the Bigfoot Society channel on YouTube features two compelling firsthand accounts that are sure to give you chills. Jeremiah Byron hosts the channel, and in this particular episode, listeners are treated to stories that span from the remote waterways of British Columbia to the haunted backroads of Kentucky. The first account comes from a First Nations man who grew up surrounded by stories of what his people call "bookw" in their language. Living in a small community of just under a thousand people near the water, he's been a hunter and fisherman since he was eight years old back in 1977. He's seen plenty in the bush, but nothing prepared him for what he experienced while out on his 16-foot boat with his nephew Jordan, while his dad followed behind on a larger 52-foot vessel. They had ventured into a bay that's considered one of the most spiritual spots in their territory, a place with many stories attached to it. They were pulling up crab pots when a scream erupted from the woods that he describes as sounding like an elk and a bear roaring at the same time. The witness and his nephew didn't say a word to each other. They just looked at one another, pulled up the pots, and left immediately. What makes this account even more fascinating is the cultural context he provides. He explains that the area near Kimano, where Rio Tinto Alcan drilled through the mountain for a hydroelectric project, sits right in the heart of where these stories originate. He believes the industrial activity could be connected to the encounters. His people have passed down stories about these beings for well over a hundred years, and he shared a particularly wild tale about an old-timer from the 1940s, 50s, or 60s who shot what he thought was a black bear, only to have a whole family of these creatures emerge from the woods and chase him because he had shot one of their own. The second story comes from a paranormal investigator named Stephen, who's been doing this work for about six years. He and his team, which included two women, decided to investigate Forts Ferry Road in Marion, Kentucky, a location with its own dark legend involving an old man who would lead people to the road and dispose of them in a hole near Illinois. While investigating, they heard crackling noises they initially dismissed as a deer. But when Stephen looked through his thermal optic, he saw something that defied explanation. The figure was standing upright on two feet, walking in place, and moving its hands in a human-like manner. But it was far too thick to be any person. As the team watched in growing unease, the figure finally began walking toward them. Stephen, an experienced hunter who doesn't scare easily, felt an overwhelming presence that told him something was coming at them. They retreated to the car, with Stephen keeping the thermal trained on the figure the entire time. It eventually made a right turn and walked off into the distance until it disappeared from view. When he returned the next day, the darkness made it impossible to determine exactly where the figure had been standing. Both accounts are worth your time, especially if you're interested in how Indigenous knowledge and modern investigation techniques are both contributing to the growing body of Sasquatch encounters. The cultural depth of the first story combined with the thermal imaging evidence from the second makes this one a must-watch.
