Lance Hightower, the well-known Sasquatch and Dogman investigator from the States, has taken his work across the pond to the UK, and the footage from his latest investigation in the Quantock Hills is genuinely compelling. We're talking about an 18-inch print found in the British countryside, which is already remarkable on its own. That kind of forward-thinking is exactly what this field needs more of, and the results from that testing were described as highly intriguing. When you stop and think about it, how many footprints have been found over the years where someone just snapped a photo, maybe took a measurement, and walked away? The opportunity to extract genetic material from a suspected Sasquatch track is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Then there's the video that Lance was shown during his visit. A young boy had captured something on his phone while scanning through the woods, and what appears on that footage is striking. The landscape has that thick, ancient woodland feel with moss-covered trees, ferns carpeting the forest floor, and a canopy so dense it blocks out much of the sunlight. Lance described it perfectly when he talked about the prehistoric atmosphere of the place. At night, that same woods becomes pitch black, the kind of darkness where you wouldn't dare navigate without a light, even on a full moon. It's the kind of environment where something could easily move through undetected, which is exactly why Lance set up a trail camera in the area where the print was found. Speaking of that trail camera, Lance left it out overnight near the print site and returned the next morning to retrieve it. The good news is the camera was still there, untouched. The not-so-exciting news is that out of 51 images captured, most were of him setting it up and people walking by with their pets on the trail. No clear evidence of anything unusual this time around. But as Lance pointed out, that's just how it goes sometimes. You put the camera out, you hope for the best, and sometimes you come back with nothing but hikers and dog walkers. What really comes through in this footage is Lance's genuine respect for the people he's meeting and the places he's exploring. There's a moment where he talks about feeling a sense of guilt being out in such a beautiful place while his family and friends are back home working their regular jobs. It's that kind of raw honesty that makes his investigations feel authentic. He's not out there performing for the camera. He's out there because he genuinely cares about finding answers.
