A fascinating interview recently surfaced on the Bigfoot Society YouTube channel that has the research community buzzing. Host Jeremiah Byron sat down with Michelle Heaton from the Sweet Home, Oregon area, and the conversation covered everything from dream connections to interdimensional portals. Oh, and there's apparently some wild footage of a translucent orb that witnesses captured in Oakridge, Oregon — definitely worth checking out the full episode for that alone. Michelle is a powerhouse in the Pacific Northwest research scene. She heads up the Sweet Home Sasquatch group on Facebook and recently launched "Girls Gone Squatching," a community specifically for women who are interested in the subject. As Jeremiah pointed out during the chat, female voices in this field are incredibly important, and Michelle is doing great work encouraging more women to share their experiences without hesitation. She also co-hosts a radio show called "Strange Oregon" on KPW 97.3 FM out of Eugene alongside a guy named Jason, and the show will apparently be available through the Pacifica network, meaning it could end up on radio stations across the country and even overseas. One of the most intriguing parts of the interview involves Michelle's book, "Dream Guardian Sasquatch in the Path of Awakening." She started having vivid dreams at age five that she believes connect directly to her work today. Jeremiah mentions that listeners can hear more about that backstory in episode 898 of the Bigfoot Society podcast. But the real meat of the conversation centers on some incredible discoveries Michelle has made in the field. She spends time around Green Peter Reservoir and has been finding remarkable tree structures — the kind that leave you scratching your head wondering who or what could have built them. In December, before heading out on a road trip, she put it out there that she wanted to see something new when she returned. A couple of weeks after getting back, someone pointed out a structure right off the trail that was so intricately designed it seemed to serve no purpose other than aesthetics. Footprints surrounded it. When you ask, sometimes you receive. Her road trip took her through Michigan, New Orleans, and Tennessee, and the Cherokee National Forest stop sounds absolutely mind-blowing. She found tree structures there that she describes as "portalish" — including one formation where two trees on one side of a hill were crisscrossed and pushed over, while a single tree on the opposite side connected and held the others up over a trail. She could literally drive her vehicle underneath it. After sitting with the moment for a few minutes, she decided to go for it, and the second she passed through, she felt an intense pressure in her head. Whether you chalk that up to suggestion or something genuinely unexplained, it's the kind of experience that makes you pause. The episode runs long and covers even more ground, including reports coming out of Marcola, south of Sweet Home, where activity has been picking up. Jeremiah also asks about a specific trail Michelle plans to investigate soon, and the two discuss the importance of putting intentions out into the field and seeing what responds. If you're into tree structures, dream connections, portal experiences, or just want to hear from someone doing boots-on-the-ground work in one of the most active regions in the country, this one's a must-watch. The translucent orb footage from Oakridge is apparently just the cherry on top.
