Welcome, fellow Squatchers! Today, we've stumbled upon a fascinating video from the Old Hillbilly Horror YouTube channel that's been sending chills down our spines. The video, titled "2 Hours Of TRUE Terrifying Park Ranger Horror Stories (Dogman,Sasquatch,Werewolf,Bigfoot,Ranger)," shares a bone-chilling account from a park ranger named Cole Mercer. Cole, a ranger in Joshua Tree National Park for over 11 years, recounts an unsettling experience from last fall when a hiker named Sabrina Wills went missing. Sabrina, a 26-year-old solo hiker from San Diego, had logged her route at the visitor center like we always advise, but when she didn't check out after 3 days, her parents called the ranger station. Cole, along with a junior ranger named Carlos, set out to find Sabrina. After 4 hours of walking under an oppressive sun, they found her camp, everything in place, but no sign of Sabrina. What's more peculiar is that they found a stack of bones, arranged in a spiral, about 20 ft from the camp. Cole shares her sense of being watched, feeling a weight pressing against her chest as they hiked back. She later contacts a retired ranger named Walter, who had a similar experience in 1997. Walter warns Cole that the land isn't just land, it's something else, something older, something hungry. As Cole and Carlos continue their search, they feel an unease in the air, a feeling that the land itself had shifted. They come across a large rock formation hidden in the shadows of a towering cliff, but there's something wrong about it. The edges are too smooth, too deliberate, as if it was carved. Cole and Carlos enter the cave, and the temperature drops sharply. The air grows dense with a musty stagnant smell, and they find a symbol carved into the far wall. It's a circle with strange markings radiating outward, looking like a sigil that doesn't belong in the desert. This video has left us feeling a mix of excitement and unease. It's always intriguing to hear firsthand accounts from park rangers who've encountered the unknown. We encourage you to watch the video for yourself and share your thoughts with us. Let's keep the conversation going, fellow Squatchers!
