5 Places You Might Actually Encounter Bigfoot / Sasquatch In Real Life!
Description: The legend of the bigfoot has been told and retold generation after generation, with people telling the horrific and enlightening stories of how they encountered the bipedal giant in the wild. The elusive species known as the Sasquatch has been allegedly sighted on almost every continent. The United States perhaps has the most reported sightings, stretching over the forests and not just the Pacific Northwest. Some have described these hairy giants as passive and scary while others have described them as violent and blood-thirsty. With this being said, prepare, because here are 5 Places You Might Actually Encounter Bigfoot In Real Life! Lets begin! 1. Fouke, Arkansas In 1972, the Cult Classic movie, "The Legend of Boggy Greek" birthed the Fouke Monster, a legendary southern cryptid considered responsible for aggressive encounters in Fouke, Arkansas. What people don’t realize is that the encounters were real, recorded in 1971, and they never stopped. The area around Fouke is remote and has a vast number of waterways, swampy areas and dense forests. One night, a pair of 7-foot tall apes emerged from the swamp, frightening a young family but were eventually chased off by shotgun blasts, not before leaving large claw marks in the house. The encounters continued for decades with a bowhunter’s account in the year 2000 that was quite horrifying. The bowhunter saw a big black figure approaching him and reaching for him but it brushed its palm against a broad-head arrow and began screaming in pain. The man, not knowing what to do, screamed, and cussed, until the figure ran back into the forest. 2. Honobia, Oklahoma In 2002, a 30-acre remote land in southeast Oklahoma, owned by a family who planted snow beans, were terrorized by a Sasquatch. This led the family traumatized, with the Sasquatch reportedly killed in the confrontation. The beans grown on this farm attracts a herd of deer and the owners of the property, Tim and his brother Mike, would shoot down the deer and store the meat in a shed. Bold Bigfoot-like creatures began encroaching the property. First it would only be one creature coming at a time to circle the home but eventually they increased in number and became more aggressive. They stole deer meat, pounded on doors and destroyed the buildings on the property. When local authorities refused to assist them, they took matters in their own hands and attacked the aggressive Sasquatches for nights on end, in what is now known as “The Siege at Honobia.” 3. Pierce County, Washington Where most sasquatch sightings have been seen is in the Pierce County. The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization has reported 76 encounters from this area, with 31 of them ranked Class A encounters. This designation means the sightings are clear-cut and they could not be mistaken or misinterpreted as other animals. In one encounter, two big game hunters were forced to cut down bushes and overgrowth to reach their truck. As they walked down the remote logging road, they observed a tall, black figure on two legs standing near the tree-line, watching them and claiming that without a doubt, it was Bigfoot. 4. Salmon River, Idaho The “Idaho Horror Story” found its way into President Teddy Roosevelt’s book The Wilderness Hunter. This was the story of Bauman, a German-born woodsman, pursuing beaver with his companion along the Salmon River. They entered a remote pass considered to have an “evil reputation” and set up camp in the surrounding area. The next three nights were agonizing for them as they were terrorized by what was described as a two-legged phantom. As Bauman went to pick up their beaver in a nearby stream, he returned to find his partner’s body and his neck snapped with fresh fang marks. 5. Keatchie Bayous, Louisiana 1981 was a year Mike would live to remember. Still 25 years old at the time, he was in Shreveport hunting deer deep into the bayou mounted on a 10-foot tall tree when he noticed a bizarre deer activity and saw an 8-foot gorilla-like creature appear. Assuming it was a prank, he began screaming at the figure, only to look at it through the scope and realize that the creature resembled a monster. Luckily, he took off running and managed to get on his truck and escape.
