In a recent video from The Paranorm Girl Podcast, host Kristen delves into military and police encounters with Bigfoot, specifically focusing on accounts from Fort Lewis in Washington and Edwards Air Force Base in California. These stories are a fascinating addition to the already compelling body of evidence supporting the existence of Sasquatch. Beginning with Fort Lewis, Kristen shares the story of a 19-year-old patrolman who, in 1971, observed a large, dark silhouette walking through an open field towards him. The figure had broad shoulders, was much taller and bulkier than a man, and moved with a distinctive sway. The patrolman was so unnerved by the encounter that he chose not to report it, fearing he would be forced to investigate further. In 1984, a sergeant of the military police and a K9 unit were called to investigate strange cries coming from the tree line. After hearing five pistol shots and a deep, guttural growl that built into a high-pitched howl, the sergeant found himself facing a large, dark shape moving along the tree line on the opposite side of a field. Believing it to be a bear, he watched as the figure crossed the field on two legs before stopping and staring at him. The sergeant described the creature as covered in short dark hair, with massive shoulders and arms, standing 7.5 to 8 feet tall, and having an apelike face. Two years later, in 1986, a military police law enforcement command officer and his friend, also an MP, witnessed a large, fur-covered, upright-walking animal cross a two-lane road ahead of them. The animal had long arms with fingers coming to just above its knees, a large head with a prominent brow and sagittal crest like a gorilla's, and shaggy, long, matted hair like a mountain goat's. Despite initially thinking it was a bear, the officer soon realized it was not, and the animal disappeared into the trees. These stories from Fort Lewis are a compelling reminder that Bigfoot sightings are not limited to the backwoods of Kentucky but can also involve professionals with clearances and hard-earned reputations. The video then moves on to Edwards Air Force Base in California, where tales of a desert-adapted Sasquatch, referred to by various names, have been shared by both Native Americans and airmen. In 1974, Sergeant Michael House had a close encounter with large, glowing blue eyes that moved without bobbing up and down, and were accompanied by a rotting smell. These stories, shared by those in official capacities, add another layer of intrigue to the already captivating mystery of Bigfoot.
