In a recent video from The Paranorm Girl Podcast, host Kristen delves into military and police encounters with Bigfoot. The video is a fascinating exploration of the Sasquatch phenomenon as experienced by those in official capacities. Kristen begins by discussing the experiences of American GIs in the Vietnam War, who reported encountering 5 to 6-foot-tall ape-like creatures in the jungles. These creatures, known as the batutut by locals and Rock Apes by soldiers, were described as walking upright, covered in hair, and showing little to no fear of humans. Many of these encounters resulted in bloodshed, with investigations launched by the Vietnamese to capture or kill one of these creatures. However, only human-like footprints were ever recovered. The video then moves on to Fort Lewis, located in Pierce County, Washington, which has a long history of possible Bigfoot activity. In 1971, a 19-year-old patrolman observed a dark silhouette walking through an open field towards him. The figure was much taller and bulkier than a man, with a sway to its walk and exceptionally broad shoulders. The patrolman was so frightened that he returned to his barracks without investigating further. In 1984, a sergeant of the military police and a K9 unit were called to investigate strange cries coming from the tree line. The K9 unit soon heard five distinct pistol shots followed by a deep guttural growl that built into a high-pitched howl. The sergeant continued forward and noticed a large dark shape moving along the tree line on the other side of the field. Thinking it was a bear, he watched as the figure continued on its path towards him before realizing that it was walking on two legs. The sergeant described the creature as covered in short dark hair, with massive shoulders and arms, standing 7 and 1/2 to 8 ft tall, with no neck and an ape-like face. In 1986, a military police law enforcement command officer and his friend observed a large fur-covered upright walking animal cross the two-lane road ahead of them. The animal had long arms with fingers coming to just above its knees, a large head with a prominent brow and sagittal crest like a gorilla's, but larger, and shaggy long and matted hair like a mountain goat. The officer initially thought it was a bear and got excited to see his first in the wild, but quickly realized it was not a bear. The animal then took one step into the trees and disappeared. These stories, and many more like them, are explored in the video, highlighting the prevalence of Bigfoot experiences among those in official capacities. It's a fascinating exploration of the Sasquatch phenomenon and well worth a watch for any Bigfoot believer.
