Mysterious Bigfoot Sightings on Cody-Yellowstone Road: Witness Accounts

In a recent video from the YouTube channel Strange Danger, the host takes us on a journey through the wilderness near Cody, Wyoming, and the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The video focuses on a 50-mile stretch of road where multiple sightings of a large, bipedal creature have been reported over the years. One of the most intriguing accounts comes from May 1978, when two government geologists had a close encounter with a 7 to 7.5-foot-tall, 600-pound creature. The witnesses described it as having a tall crown on its head, a thick neck, broad shoulders, powerful buttocks, large knees, and yellow eyes that shone in the car's high beams. The creature moved silently and disappeared into the pine trees. In November 1997, two brothers collecting firewood south of the highway near the North Fork of the Shoshoni River also had a sighting. They observed a 6 to 10-foot-tall hairy man walking on two legs for about 100 yards downhill. The witnesses were about a quarter of a mile away. The video also touches on a report from July 2000, where two witnesses caught a fleeting glimpse of a dark, hairy figure in the road. A hiker in the same month, 30 to 40 miles west of Cody, noticed something following him in the trees and brush. He caught a glimpse of the creature 60 to 70 yards away and described it as having long brown hair and a long, somewhat flat face. The host of the video takes us on a tour of the area, pointing out possible sighting locations and even sharing their suspicions about a cave painting they come across.
