A chilling account of a possible encounter with a mysterious creature has been shared on the YouTube channel Old Hillbilly Horror. The video, titled "20 TRUE Terrifying Park Ranger Horror Stories (Dogman, Sasquatch, Wendigo, Wewewolf, Bigfoot, Creepy)," features a range of stories from park rangers, but one in particular has caught the attention of the Bigfoot community.
In the video, a park ranger describes an experience that took place during the winter of 2010 and 2011. While staying at a backcountry emergency shelter, the ranger heard a strange howl that was deeper and more growling than anything they had heard before. Intrigued, they decided to investigate the source of the noise and soon came across several horribly mutilated deer carcasses.
As they continued to follow the sound, they eventually came face to face with a strange, cat-like creature. The ranger describes the creature as having brindle coloring and a mane around its neck, and larger than a mountain lion. Despite its feline appearance, the ranger notes that the creature was unlike anything they had ever seen before.
As the ranger watched the creature, it never appeared to move and the sound it was making completely stopped. Feeling threatened, the ranger quickly left the area and returned to the ranger cabin.
This account is particularly intriguing as it comes from a park ranger, someone who spends a significant amount of time in the wilderness and is familiar with the animals that inhabit the area. The fact that the ranger was unable to identify the source of the howl and the mutilated deer carcasses adds to the mystery of the encounter.
While the ranger does not explicitly mention Bigfoot or Sasquatch in their account, the possibility of a mysterious and undiscovered creature lurking in the wilderness is certainly an exciting one for Bigfoot enthusiasts.
