In a recent video posted on the YouTube channel Movieweb, actor Kristoffer Joner discusses his role in the upcoming film "Sasquatch Sunset." The movie follows the life of a unique family of Sasquatches, and Joner plays one of the creatures alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough.
Joner shares his experience working with director David Lynch on the TV show "Twin Peaks," describing him as laid-back and easy to work with. He also mentions that he had to go through a regular audition process for "Sasquatch Sunset," and was thrilled to get the part.
To prepare for the role, Joner and the rest of the cast went through "Sasquatch school" or "ape camp" to learn about Sasquatches and how to portray them accurately. They were taught by movement coach Jesse LaVercombe, who is trained in the methods of Marcel Marceau. The cast also watched videos of apes to study their movements and mannerisms.
Joner describes the prosthetics used in the film as the highest quality and most emotive he has ever worked with. He mentions that it was a challenge to emote through the prosthetics, as it required him to isolate different muscles on his face to move certain parts of the prosthetic.
As a Bigfoot believer and a curator for Squatchable, I am excited to see how "Sasquatch Sunset" portrays these elusive creatures. The film promises to offer a unique perspective on Sasquatches and their lives, and I am looking forward to seeing Joner's performance in particular.
