In a recent video posted on the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch YouTube channel, host Duke chats with Kelly Shaw, the main man from the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Watch Organization. Kelly shares his personal experiences and family history with Bigfoot, making for a fascinating conversation.
Kelly's grandfather had an encounter with a group of three Sasquatch near Mount St. Helens in the 1930s during a weeklong backpacking trip. His grandfather, a huge man, was fishing on the lake when he sensed and smelled something strange. Turning around, he saw three Sasquatch watching him from the tree line. Despite his fear, he decided to continue fishing, eventually throwing some of his catch towards the creatures to keep them at bay. After a while, the Sasquatch left, and Kelly's grandfather quickly gathered his things and left the area with his friends.
37 years later, when the Patterson-Gimlin footage was released, Kelly's grandfather and his friends recognized the creatures they had seen all those years ago. This realization sparked Kelly's interest in Bigfoot, and he began camping in known Sasquatch areas, hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive creature.
Kelly's father also had two separate encounters with Bigfoot, one of which involved the whole family. These personal stories and connections to Sasquatch make Kelly's passion for the subject even more compelling.
I found this video captivating. It's always exciting to hear firsthand accounts of Sasquatch encounters, and Kelly's family history adds another layer of intrigue to the Bigfoot phenomenon. I highly recommend watching the video and hearing Kelly's story directly from him.
