However, when he went to tell them to leave, he discovered that the phone was off the hook and the boys had vanished without a trace. But that's not all. Alec's family continued to experience strange occurrences even after the boys' disappearance. The phone would ring constantly, even after it had been disconnected. Alec himself began to have clairvoyant experiences, where he would know things before they happened. And then there were the spiders. Millions of them, crawling all over the ceiling. The second story comes from a park ranger who worked at the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Western North Carolina. During a calm summer season, the ranger began to notice strange noises around campsites late at night. And then, one night, he saw something truly terrifying. A pale, humanoid figure was standing in the woods, staring directly at him. The ranger described it as being around five to six feet tall, with large black eyes and a thin, emaciated body. It was making strange clicking sounds, and seemed to be both curious and menacing at the same time. The ranger managed to snap a photo of the creature before it climbed up a tree and disappeared into the woods. He and his colleagues searched the area for hours, but never found any trace of the being.
