If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you'll want to check out this video from the YouTube channel What in the Sam Hill?! Podcast. The video, titled "Top 5 Historic Bigfoot Sightings in Georgia," explores some of the most intriguing accounts of Bigfoot encounters in the state's history.
The video is based on the host's new book, which delves into historic encounters with Bigfoot and other relic hominoids in Georgia. The host shares some of her favorite stories from the book, including an account from 1889 of an Indian hunting party that encountered a monster near the border of South Carolina and Georgia. The creature was described as being about 7 feet tall, with hair all over its body, a mouth in its chin, and great claws on its fingers and toes. The hunting party ended up killing two of these creatures, which the host suggests may have been Eastern Bigfoot types.
Another interesting story comes from Harris County in 1888, where livestock was going missing and a farmer heard the cries of his goat being taken away. When the farmer and some neighbors went up the mountain to investigate, they encountered a creature that was about 6'2, not a pound of surplus flesh upon him, all is bone and muscle, and his strength is marvelous. The creature was completely covered in hair, with head hair down its back past its shoulders and a beard all the way to its waist. The host notes that this description is typical of the neanderthaloid type, as described by Lauren Colman.
The video also touches on a sighting from 1886 in Dade County, where two neanderthaloids - one male and one female - were captured and put in a cavern. The male was covered with hair and had remnants of clothing or ragged clothing with leaves and twigs woven into it. The female was also covered with hair, with a long mane dragging to the ground. The host notes that neither of them could speak and gave vent to unearthly screams.
