In a chilling video posted to Old Hillbilly Horror's YouTube channel, a park ranger from Alberta, Canada shares their harrowing experiences from the past 5 years on the job. As a fan of Bigfoot lore myself, I was immediately drawn in by the ranger's tales of strange occurrences in the forest. The ranger, who prefers working nights, describes their duties as watching over one of the most beautiful views one can see - mountains, lakes, and miles of forest. However, during the night, it's like being in space, with only the stars and the moon shining through the tower. The ranger's tasks include responding to problems near the tower day or night, watching for any signs of smoke, and being trained to respond to bear, wolf, or cougar calls alone. The ranger admits to getting comfortable with their work, maybe even a little too much, and has had some unsettling experiences during their shifts. In one particularly eerie encounter, the ranger was walking down a path to the weather tower when they had the feeling of being watched. As they approached the tower's territory, lights started turning on and off as if someone was ahead of them. When they stopped and took off their earplugs, they heard a voice yell "who's there?" but when they looked around, there was no one to be seen. In another incident, the ranger was working in the Eastern Tower when a big snowstorm mixed with violent wind hit. The ranger tried to communicate with the Northern Tower but couldn't get through. Eventually, they were able to pick up a brief "okay" from the other tower, but the communication went down again shortly after. When the ranger tried to call in, they found that their radio was dead. As they were about to enter the tower, they saw a man walking up the stairs leading to the entrance. Thinking it was one of their co-workers, they ran to catch up, but when they got to the tower, no one was there. These stories, and others like them, have left me feeling both intrigued and uneasy. Could it be that there is something otherworldly going on in these forests? I am always open to the possibility of unknown creatures roaming the woods. While these stories don't explicitly mention Bigfoot, the ranger's experiences are certainly unsettling and leave me wondering what could be out there. I encourage all of you to check out the Old Hillbilly Horror YouTube channel and watch the video for yourself. These stories are definitely worth a watch and are sure to leave you feeling spooked. Who knows, maybe you'll even start to believe in the possibility of Bigfoot too.
