In a recent video from the Bigfoot Society YouTube channel, host Jeremy talks with Eric Palacios, a Texas-based filmmaker and investigative journalist, about the process of submitting a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in the world of Bigfoot research.
Eric shares his own personal encounter with what he believes to be a Bigfoot in 2011, which took place in Williamson County, Texas near Brushy Creek. He describes the creature as making a sound similar to an elephant coming through the brush, and getting as close as 10 feet to him and his group. Eric explains that the area where the encounter took place is part of the Balcones Escarpment, which has creek runoffs, caves, and underground aquifers. He also shares the history of Bigfoot sightings in the area, including the naming of Hayman Road, which is said to be named after a child who became lost and turned into a "wild hairy man."
Eric also talks about the importance of FOIA requests in Bigfoot research. He explains that FOIA requests allow access to information from government agencies that may not be readily available to the public. He shares his own experience with submitting a FOIA request regarding an incident at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, where a man claimed to have witnessed and fired upon a Bigfoot. Eric was able to obtain a wealth of information through his request, including witness statements and pictures of the gun used in the incident.
As a Bigfoot believer and investigative journalist, Eric emphasizes the importance of doing one's own research and due diligence when it comes to Bigfoot sightings and encounters. He encourages anyone who has submitted a FOIA request regarding Bigfoot and has results to share to reach out to him.
In this video, the Bigfoot Society provides valuable information for those interested in Bigfoot research, as well as a personal encounter and history of Bigfoot sightings in Texas. It is a must-watch for any Bigfoot enthusiast.
