A fascinating account of a possible encounter with Sasquatch has been shared on the YouTube channel, Base Camp Chris. In the video titled "My ENCOUNTER in the Tahoe National Forest! BIGFOOT? | My Story", Chris describes his experience while solo camping in the Sierra Nevadas.
Chris begins by sharing his excitement for the upcoming camping season and his plans to explore various campsites, including fire towers in the National Forest. He then introduces a non-alcoholic beer, Trail Pass Golden, and shares his thoughts on its taste.
The video takes an intriguing turn when Chris begins to discuss his interest in Sasquatch, sparked by a childhood experience in Lassen National Park in 1958. A viewer's comment about this incident prompts Chris to share his own encounter in the Sierra Nevadas.
In October 2015, Chris went camping in the Lost Sierra near Gold Lakes Basin, an area known for its beauty and high elevation. While walking around Goose Lake, he noticed footprints in the mud that appeared to be those of a small child. However, the location and lack of other human tracks made him question this assumption.
Chris took several photographs of the footprints and noticed that some of them seemed to be placed as if the individual was walking on a tightrope. He also found bear prints for comparison. Upon returning home, he studied the pictures and created a map of the area to better understand the terrain and the placement of the footprints.
The following summer, Chris returned to Goose Lake and set up camp in the walk-in campsites on the lake's southern side. That night, he heard a high-pitched, deep howl from the opposite side of the lake. The sound was unlike anything he had heard before, and he was unable to identify its source.
Throughout the video, Chris maintains a casual and engaging tone, inviting viewers to join him on his journey and to draw their own conclusions about his experience. The video offers an intriguing first-hand account of a possible Sasquatch encounter and serves as a reminder of the mystery and allure that the outdoors holds.
To fully appreciate Chris's story, be sure to watch the video and see the evidence for yourself. You may just find yourself captivated by the possibility of Sasquatch in the Tahoe National Forest.
