A new analysis of the famous Patterson-Gimlin film has been making waves in the Bigfoot community, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you. The video, posted by the YouTube channel Greenwave2010fb, features an enhancement of a single frame from the film, and the results are nothing short of stunning. The analyzer, MK Davis, explains that he was contacted by Todd Gatewood, who claimed to have techniques for enhancement that would be effective on a good image. Davis sent him the best frame from the Patterson film, which was leaked in the 90s during an argument. People have claimed to see different things in the film, but Davis wanted to make sure that the enhancement was well explained. Bruce Bonnie, who worked with the original film, said that the original 16mm Kodak Chrome 2 film was enlarged and printed on 4x5 Kodak Ektachrome duplicating film. These 4x5 in color transparencies were then contact printed on Ilford CRA Chrome, the sharpest color printing paper available. Bonnie said that the prints clearly showed the creature's face with eyes, nostrils, and lips, and that details of the creature's body larger than one square cm in area were visible in the prints. Davis explains that Gatewood's enhancement of this frame makes it clear that the creature in the film has a face with eyes, nostrils, and lips. Davis has checked the enhancement point for point and has confidence in it. He points out that the braid that is visible in some frames is partially covered by hair and has little Chevron Herringbone patterns in it. The mouth is open, and teeth, the bottom lip, and individual hairs are visible. Davis adds that modern-day processing can produce this level of detail from a photograph of this quality. He concludes by saying that if you are interested in this subject, you should be absolutely jumping up and down with joy. I find this analysis fascinating. The Patterson-Gimlin film has been the subject of much debate and speculation over the years, and this enhancement provides a new perspective on the creature in the film. I encourage all Bigfoot enthusiasts to watch the video and draw their own conclusions.
