The sound, Nathan explains, was a mix of a lady being brutally murdered and a growl, much louder and more aggressive than any predator he had ever heard. Instantly, they knew they had to leave. As they ran towards the road, Nathan could hear something crashing through the brush, getting closer. They managed to reach the road and their neighborhood safely, but the experience left a lasting impression on them.
