A fascinating account of an encounter with a possible Sasquatch has recently surfaced on the YouTube channel BIGFOOT! / William Jevning. The video, titled "BIGFOOT BREAKDOWN | Long Hunter Alaskan Style | Episode 16," features host William Jevning discussing a story from the 1963 issue of Sports Afield magazine. The story, titled "Long Hunter Alaskan Style" by Russell Annabelle, details an experience had by Tex Cob, a mountain man who spent years trapping in Canada.
In the story, Tex and his companion are approached by a group of Indians who tell them about a Shaggy giant, known as Gil, who has been hanging around their area. The Indians take Tex and his companion to a burned flat where they find a twisted birch sapling that has been torn apart by something with hands. The Indians believe it to be the work of Gil and invite Tex and his companion to camp with them until they have killed their Caribou, as Gil does not molest white men.
The next morning, the Indians return to their camp, leaving Tex and his companion behind. They are told that Stickman, the chief of the group, has been taken by Gil during the night. The only evidence left behind is his red flannel underwear, torn off him and left on the gravel beach.
William Jevning, the host of the video, shares his own experiences and knowledge of twisted trees, which he has found in the Bluff Creek region of Northern California. He notes that these twisted trees are a sign of current Sasquatch activity in the area.
I found this account to be intriguing and worth sharing with our community. It is always exciting to hear about new encounters and experiences with these elusive creatures. I encourage our readers to check out the video and share their thoughts in the comments below.
