A chilling tale of a North American wild-man, or Sasquatch, has emerged from the small town of Falc, located along the southwestern border of Arkansas near Louisiana and Texas. The creature, known as the Falc monster, has been described as a large, hairy, bipedal ape standing anywhere from 9 to 15 feet tall, with appearances and behavior similar to that of the famous Sasquatch. The Falc monster is said to inhabit the area around Boggy Creek, a long, meandering creek that winds through the countryside. While early encounters with the monster were mostly peaceful, the situation took a turn for the worse when the people of Falc organized a hunting party to track and kill the beast. This hunting effort seemed to enrage the creature, causing it to become violent and attack the Ford family's home in May 1971. Mrs. Ford, who was sleeping on the couch at the time, woke up to find a huge black hand reaching for her. Her screams alerted Mr. Ford, who rushed out of the bedroom and fired at the monster along with his brother Doug. The creature, howling in pain, staggered off into the night. More terrifying encounters with the creature occurred after this incident, including the mysterious deaths of two of a local farmer's prized hogs. The hogs were found lifted over the fence with no visible damage, and when the farmer removed the carcasses, they were later found carried away with no trace of them left behind. The monster seemingly disappeared in 1974, but sightings resumed in 1978 when mysterious three-toed tracks were found near the creek bed. The creature went on a killing spree, slaughtering countless numbers of livestock within weeks of the tracks' discovery. The people of Falc were once again able to drive off the beast, and sightings became sporadic after that. While the monster has mostly faded from popular memory, the old folks of Falc still tell tales of death and tragedy, cautioning visitors to stay out of Boggy Creek. I encourage our readers to watch the video and form their own opinions on this fascinating and frightening creature.
