A fascinating encounter with a Sasquatch has been documented in a video from the YouTube channel Idaho Bigfoot. The video, titled "Taken By Sasquatch: The Story of Muchalat Harry | Vancouver BC, Canada 1928 | Episode 11," discusses an interesting encounter as documented by Rupert Matthews in his book "Sasquatch: True Life Encounters with Legendary Ape Men."
According to the video, at 3am one Autumn morning in 1928, a fur trapper from the Nooka Tribe named Muchalat Harry came paddling back to his home on Vancouver Island in his canoe, dressed only in his underwear and suffering from exposure. He was clearly terrified and babbling, so the family sent for the local missionary, Father Anthony. It was Father Anthony who recorded the story and preserved it for later generations.
Muchalat Harry had left his home and headed for the Kanuma River at the head of Tulipana Inlet where he intended to spend several weeks trapping fur. After pitching camp, he settled down to business. All seemed set for a routine trip until one night he was jerked awake by being roughly picked up and wrapped in his blankets. He was thrown over the shoulder of a big hairy man-like creature and carried for about three miles before being dumped on the ground beside a steep hill with a rock overhang.
When he collected himself, he looked about and was alarmed to see himself surrounded by about 20 Sasquatch. The bigger males were pushing the females and the young back from him as if to keep them safe. The alarm turned to terror when he saw a pile of bones lying on the ground, showing obvious signs of having been gnawed. Muchalat was convinced that he had been brought in as prey and would soon be killed and eaten.
He backed nervously against the rock while first one then another male Sasquatch came up to him. The Sasquatch seemed fascinated by his underwear, which they plucked at repeatedly. Muchalat guessed that they thought it was some kind of loose second skin. After a while, the males lost interest and allowed the females and the young to get closer to the terrified Muchalat. When it was fully light, the majority of the adults left, presumably to search for food, and Muchalat was left with the young and a couple of adult females. An hour or so later, the two females laid down, and he fled.
The video goes on to discuss why this encounter is important and how it affirms that Bigfoot does in fact eat meat, can have larger groups of individuals, and can kidnap people. This encounter is one of three that has been reported where someone has been kidnapped by a Bigfoot or Bigfoot-like creature.
I find this encounter to be quite intriguing. The fact that Muchalat Harry was carried off by a Sasquatch and held captive for some time is something that doesn't happen every day. The fact that he was able to escape and tell his story is a testament to his bravery and strength. I highly recommend watching the video and doing your own research on this fascinating encounter.
