Sasquatch enthusiasts, have you heard the latest account from the YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory? In their video titled "BIGFOOT RESEARCH AND ENCOUNTERS | CHESTNUT RIDGE (PART 1)," they feature Dwayne, a private researcher from the eastern United States who has had numerous experiences with the elusive creature.
Dwayne, who has appeared on Small Town Monsters and other shows, shares his story of growing up in South Carolina and North Carolina during the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. He admits that while he was exposed to Bigfoot through films like the Patterson-Gimlin footage and Boggy Creek Monster, he didn't believe they were real until much later in life.
One particular encounter in 1983, while working on a project in Georgetown, South Carolina, changed Dwayne's perspective forever. His co-worker, Brady, had a terrifying encounter with a creature that he described as a "monster" while driving through the Sumter National Forest late one night.
Brady, who was a deacon in church and a respected community member, was shaken by his experience. He had come across an old sedan on the side of the road, and as he approached to offer assistance, he saw a massive creature with jet black hair, standing 6 feet tall and covered in wet hair. The creature had bright red eyes and emitted a foul smell, similar to that of roadkill or a deer hanging in the woods for several days.
As Brady stood there, frozen in fear, the creature turned and walked into the tree line, making a gurgling grunting noise as it disappeared into the woods. The thrashing and breaking of trees and tree limbs that followed confirmed to Brady that he had encountered something otherworldly.
Dwayne's account of Brady's encounter is a fascinating one, and it's a reminder that Bigfoot sightings are still being reported today. While some may dismiss these accounts as mere folklore, there are those of us who believe that there is still much to learn about the elusive creature.
In fact, did you know that the term "Sasquatch" comes from the Halkomelem word "sasq'ets," which means "wild man"? Or that Bigfoot is said to have a distinctive gait, with a flat-footed walk that leaves a distinct impression in the ground?
Whether you're a seasoned Sasquatch researcher or just a casual enthusiast, Dwayne's account is sure to leave you intrigued and wanting to learn more. So be sure to check out the full video on Sasquatch Theory's YouTube channel and let us know what you think!
