Recently, I came across an interesting video on YouTube by the channel Creature Movie Reviews about a Bigfoot comedy film called "Sasquatch." The film features a talented cast, including Neil Flynn, Adam Herschman, and Tim Meadows, and follows the story of Nigel and his brother Oscar, who are on a quest to win the Damien Hogle award for providing conclusive evidence of the existence of Bigfoot. The film opens with the tale of Damien Hogle, who set out to find proof of a large hairy hominid living in the forests around the world but failed to do so. In his honor, his family set up the Damien Hogle foundation and offered half a million dollars to anyone who can provide concrete evidence of the creature. Nigel and Oscar hope to win the prestigious award, not just for the money, but also for the fame that would come along with it. As they prepare for their trek into the wilderness, they meet Jamie, Todd's sister, who reluctantly agrees to join them as their guide. The group is later joined by Samson, played by Neil Flynn, a rough and tough ex-military survival guide. Together, they head out on the trip of a lifetime, determined to capture Bigfoot alive. One thing that caught my attention in the film is the mention of Sasquatch migration patterns. Nigel explains that in the summer, Sasquatch is more likely to be found in the Eastern Highlands, while in the winter, they migrate to the western lowlands. This is consistent with what some researchers believe about Bigfoot's behavior. While the film itself may not provide any concrete evidence of Bigfoot's existence, it does highlight the ongoing fascination and obsession that many people have with the creature. The film also touches on the idea of hoaxes and the lengths that some people will go to in order to claim the reward money. In the end, Nigel and Oscar may not have captured Bigfoot, but they do come away with a newfound appreciation for the great outdoors and the mysteries that it holds. Who knows, maybe one day we'll finally have concrete evidence of Bigfoot's existence. Until then, we can continue to enjoy films like "Sasquatch" that keep the legend alive. So, if you're a Bigfoot enthusiast looking for a lighthearted comedy to watch, "Sasquatch" might just be the film for you. And who knows, you might even learn something new about Bigfoot along the way.
