Have you ever heard of the Minnesota Dogman? If not, you're in for a treat. This cryptid has been spotted in the North Star State, and the stories are chilling.
I recently came across a video on YouTube from the channel I Talk Cryptids, where they shared three separate sightings of the Minnesota Dogman. The first sighting took place in 1999, just north of Duluth and the Air Force Base. An anonymous man was on patrol in a forested area when he noticed a pair of eyes reflecting back at him. As he drove closer, he saw that the creature was the same height as him, even though he was sitting in his truck. The creature then took off into the forest, and the man described it as a huge black wolf with matted fur and blondish-light brown patches.
The second sighting occurred in 2009, in Fergus Falls. A man was driving on the county road when he saw a bizarre creature behind a tree, watching a group of deer. The creature appeared to be bipedal, and the man estimated it to be around seven feet tall. He also described it as having a muscular build, with broad shoulders, a slender waist, and thick muscular thighs.
The final sighting took place in Long Prairie, in the summer. A man was hunting squirrels early one morning when he saw a humanoid dog thing sitting at the edge of the woods. He shot at it a couple of times, and there was a yelp before the creature ran off. The police were called, and they found a few paw prints, but ultimately concluded that it was probably just a wolf.
Now, I know what you're thinking. These stories sound like something you would tell around a campfire. But the witnesses in these videos seem genuinely terrified and convinced that what they saw was not a wolf, but something else entirely.
What's interesting to note is that the Minnesota Dogman is not the only cryptid to be spotted in the state. Minnesota is also home to the Bemidji Beast, a large, bear-like creature with a long neck and shaggy fur. The state is also home to the Chupacabra, a creature that has been spotted in several states, including Texas and Florida.
So, what do you think? Do you believe in the Minnesota Dogman, or do you think these stories are just urban legends? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to check out the video from I Talk Cryptids for more details on these sightings. Who knows, maybe you'll be the next person to spot the Minnesota Dogman.
