In a recent episode of the Bigfoot and Beyond Podcast, host Cliff Barrickman shares the chilling encounters of a witness who goes by the name of "John Doe" for his protection. The two encounters took place in the foothills of Mount Hood, an area known for its Bigfoot sightings and activity.
John, a lifelong resident of Eastern Multnomah County, had his first encounter at the age of 15. While securing the entrances to logging roads on his family's property, he heard strange sounds coming from the woods. Assuming it was high school kids causing trouble, he investigated the area but found nothing. However, as he descended into a clearing, he heard a loud, intense noise coming from one source. To his surprise, a large creature was barreling down the mountain towards him.
In the second encounter, John was fishing with a friend when they heard branches snapping and rocks rolling down the hillside. They caught a glimpse of a large, dark figure moving through the trees. John's friend, a skeptic, was left shaken and convinced that they had witnessed a Sasquatch.
Beyond the thrilling stories, the episode also touches on the importance of preserving the natural habitat of Bigfoot and other wildlife. The Pacific Northwest is home to numerous species of plants and animals, many of which are threatened by human activities such as logging and development. By protecting these habitats, we not only ensure the survival of these species but also increase the chances of coexisting peacefully with them.
