Have you heard the exciting news, fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts? The Portland Trail Blazers have introduced a new mascot that is sure to pique the interest of our community. While it may not be the Sasquatch we've all been hoping to see, this new addition to the team is quite intriguing. The YouTube channel KGW News shared a video titled "Meet Douglas Fur, the Trail Blazers new mascot," featuring the unveiling of Douglas Fur, a friendly and energetic Bigfoot-inspired character. The video shows Douglas Fur interacting with fans, exchanging high-fives, and even catching some action on the court. During the interview, Todd Bosma, Director of Game Operations for the Trail Blazers, mentioned that Douglas Fur had been in hiding for years, much like the elusive Sasquatch. Although Douglas Fur is not a Sasquatch, it is interesting to note that the Trail Blazers had a Bigfoot mascot back in the 1980s, making Douglas Fur a distant relative, in a way. The Trail Blazers have partnered with the North American Bigfoot Center, based in Boring, Oregon, to create a mini-museum and educational series about Bigfoot. Renowned Bigfoot hunter and part-time funny man Ian Carmel even made an appearance to help find the mysterious creature. While Douglas Fur may not be the Bigfoot we've all been searching for, it's exciting to see the Trail Blazers embracing the mystique surrounding Bigfoot and incorporating it into their brand. Who knows, maybe this new mascot will inspire more people to learn about and appreciate the legend of Bigfoot.
