In a recent video from the Bigfoot and Beyond Podcast, hosts Cliff Barackman and James "Bobo" Fay sit down with guest Glenn to discuss his two up-close encounters with Sasquatch. The first encounter took place when Glenn was just 10 years old, while he was living near Watertown, New York. As Glenn and his friend David were walking in the woods, they came across a Sasquatch bent over a tree, eating leaves. The creature noticed them and let go of the tree, which whipped back up and startled the boys. Glenn describes the tree as being at least a couple of inches thick and probably around 15 feet tall. He notes that the Sasquatch's physical feat of bending the tree was extraordinary and certainly not something a person in a monkey suit could do. Glenn goes on to describe the Sasquatch as having black fur and being quite large. He couldn't make out any distinct facial features due to the lighting, but he did notice that the Sasquatch's hands appeared to be opposable, with the thumb and fingers working together to pluck leaves off the tree. This is particularly interesting, as some researchers believe that Sasquatches do not have opposable thumbs. However, others argue that the term "not opposed" in Grover Krantz's research does not mean that the thumbs are not opposable, but rather that they are positioned differently on the hand than human thumbs. The second encounter Glenn describes took place in 1977, when he was 16 years old and camping with a friend near Eugene, Oregon. This time, the Sasquatch was much closer and even touched Glenn's arm as it walked by. Glenn notes that the creature's skin was also black, like its fur. Throughout the interview, Cliff and Bobo ask Glenn detailed questions about his encounters, showing their genuine interest in understanding more about these elusive creatures. They also touch on the importance of preserving Sasquatch habitats and the role that technology plays in Sasquatch research. In addition to the fascinating Sasquatch encounters, the video also includes some interesting bits of information. For example, did you know that the study of Bigfoot is called Sasquatchology? Or that the term "not opposed" in Grover Krantz's research does not mean that Sasquatch thumbs are not opposable?
