New Bigfoot Sighting in Upstate New York: Footprint Analysis and Eyewitness Account

Aaron, a friend of Jackson's, analyzed the print and estimated its size to be around 16 to 17 inches long, which is consistent with the size of Bigfoot tracks that have been documented before. The partial handprint and thumb impression on the left side of the photo also add to the authenticity of the evidence. In addition to the footprint evidence, Rocky Mountain Sasquatch also shared a sighting report from a witness who had a close encounter with an eight-foot-tall Bigfoot along the Mohawk River. The witness, who chose to remain anonymous, was hitchhiking along Route 5 between Amsterdam and Schnectady, New York, in the early morning when he bumped into the creature in thick fog. The witness described the creature as a two-legged, furry, dark brown figure that was about seven to eight feet tall. He could hear the creature walking away down the road, making a two-footed slapping sound as it moved. As the fog lifted, the witness saw the creature running across the road and jumping over the guardrail. The witness was certain that what he encountered was not a bear, as he had seen bears before and knew what they looked like. He described the encounter as "crazy" and "scary as hell," but he was grateful that he was able to see the creature in the end.
