In a recent video from The Bluff Creek Project Podcast, hosts Robert Leideman and Tate Hieronymus interview Jill Remensnyder, a filmmaker who has turned her attention to the world of Bigfoot. Remensnyder, along with her husband Brett Eichenberger, run a production company that creates commercials, corporate videos, music videos, and narrative features. But when the pandemic hit, they found themselves with some extra time on their hands and decided to pursue a long-held passion project: a documentary about Bigfoot. Remensnyder and Eichenberger had always been fascinated by the stories of Bigfoot that they grew up hearing in the Pacific Northwest. They had met Todd Niece, a well-known figure in the Bigfoot community, at a conference several years ago and had stayed in touch with him. When the pandemic hit, they saw an opportunity to finally make their documentary and reached out to Niece for help. As they began their research, Remensnyder and Eichenberger were struck by the incredible stories and experiences that people were willing to share with them. They interviewed a wide range of people, each with their own unique encounter or experience with Bigfoot. These interviews led to even more connections and opportunities, and before they knew it, they had enough material for not one, but two documentaries. The first, simply titled "Bigfoot," is set to be released in early summer. One interesting bit that Remensnyder shares in the video is that she and her team were filming in an area known to be heavily populated by bears while making her film "Light of Mine." Although they didn't have any encounters with bears during filming, the thought of it added an extra level of excitement to the experience. It's always fascinating to hear about the experiences of those who have dedicated their time and resources to the search for Bigfoot. The Bluff Creek Project Podcast is a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about the world of Bigfoot, and Jill Remensnyder's documentary is sure to be an exciting addition to the field. Be sure to check out the video and keep an eye out for "Bigfoot" when it's released later this year.
