Have you ever heard of the Bigfoot Outdoors Investigator YouTube channel? If not, you're missing out on some fascinating firsthand accounts of possible Bigfoot sightings. In a recent video, the channel's owner, Terry, shared his encounter with a mysterious creature in West Virginia during the 1980s. Terry was driving home to Columbus, Ohio from Pensacola, Florida, where he was stationed in the Navy. He was on Route 64 or 77, north of North Carolina and Virginia, but still in West Virginia. It was around 3:30 or 4 o'clock in the morning, and Terry saw something that he couldn't believe. As he was driving, he saw a figure step over the guardrail and onto the highway area beside the road. At first, he thought it was a bear, but as he got closer, he realized it was much taller and had long legs. The creature squatted down, and Terry couldn't believe his eyes. He described it as a "big ball of fur" that was probably 10 feet tall. Terry's description of the creature is reminiscent of traditional Bigfoot sightings, but what's even more interesting is his theory about how Bigfoot may be able to remain unseen in the woods. He suggests that when someone gets close, Bigfoot may crouch down behind a tree and hide, making it difficult to spot. But what about the science behind Bigfoot? While there is no concrete evidence to prove the existence of Bigfoot, there are many theories and sightings that keep the legend alive. Some researchers believe that Bigfoot may be a descendant of Gigantopithecus, an extinct species of ape that lived in Asia. Others think that Bigfoot is a yeti or a different type of undiscovered primate. Regardless of where you stand on the Bigfoot debate, it's clear that there are many people who believe in its existence. And with firsthand accounts like Terry's, it's easy to see why.
