In the world of the paranormal, there are always new and intriguing stories emerging from various sources. Today, I came across a fascinating video from the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Encounters, that delves into encounters with a creature not typically associated with the Sasquatch community – Dogman. While these stories are not directly related to Bigfoot, they are certainly worth sharing with our open-minded and enthusiastic readers.
The first encounter took place in Michigan's lower Peninsula, along a river known for its excellent fishing. In 1938, a man named Robert Fortney had a harrowing experience with a pack of wild dogs. As he stood fishing, the dogs began snapping at him, and fearing for his life, Fortney fired a shot, causing most of the dogs to run away. However, one dog, described as having slanted, evil eyes and blue fur, remained and stared at Fortney with a hint of a grin.
This Dogman encounter occurred very close to a site that would later become a well-known hotspot for such sightings. The standoff between Fortney and the Dogman ended in a mutual retreat, but Fortney never forgot the terror he experienced that day.
Another Michigan man, Jeff Cornelius, encountered a snarling man-wolf in a dark and desolate yard in Holly, Michigan, in 2005. Cornelius, who worked as a Repo Man at the time, was attempting to repossess a truck when he heard a twig snap. He turned to find an upright creature covered in thick gray and black fur, growling at him. Cornelius quickly got back into his truck and drove away, with the creature rushing towards him as he left.
Cornelius described the creature as standing about five and a half feet tall, with a rough of raised fur on its back, a big head covered in straight fur, large pointed ears, and paws rather than human hands or feet. He noted that it was not a human in a suit, nor was it a Bigfoot, but rather something resembling a werewolf.
The third encounter took place in Zeon, Illinois, a town with an unusual history. In 1987, a man named Allen moved to the area and found himself unable to sleep due to the quietness of the town. One night, he decided to walk towards the lake on State Highway 173, which led to a wooden path through the north Dunes Nature Preserve and then to the shore.
As Allen walked through the wooded area, he began to feel wary, sensing an unknown presence nearby. He soon made out a dark, upright figure, which he knew was not human. The figure, which stood at least seven feet tall, had a long canine muzzle, broad shoulders, long arms, and pointed ears. It followed Allen through the darkened wooded area, teasing him as it went.
These stories, while not directly related to Bigfoot, showcase the diverse and fascinating world of the paranormal. It's good to remember that there are many creatures and phenomena that remain unexplained, and the stories shared in the Bigfoot Encounters video are compelling evidence of that.
