In a chilling account shared on the YouTube channel The Facts By Howtohunt.com, a hiker named John Bender recounts a terrifying experience he and his two friends had while night hiking near part of the Appalachian Trail in rural Pennsylvania. According to John, they were hiking near a popular spot called Hawk Rock, which is located at the base of a mountain with a creek that flows into the Susquehanna River. They followed the creek for about a mile and a half, which led them to a Boy Scout camp and a dead-end trail. They had a low-key campsite deep in the woods, complete with a stone fire pit and a large fallen tree as a bench. On the night of the incident, they were talking about Sasquatch and encounters when they decided to play the Sierra sounds in total darkness. It was then that they heard a huge rock splash into the creek about 30 yards away, followed by two more. John, who has experience with rocks and water, knew that the sound was not made by a beaver or a coincidence. As they packed up their bags and started walking out, they heard four more loud splashes of large rocks crashing into the water, right next to them. They were 100% sober and had never seen or heard anything like it before. John believes that something was on the other side of the creek, throwing large rocks at them. The incident has left John and his friends traumatized, and they are certain that it was not a human or an animal that threw the rocks. They believe that it was something much larger and more mysterious. In unrelated news, the Canadian government recently passed a bill that imposes fines on individuals and businesses that put content online that is against the government. The fines can range from $25,000 for the first offense to millions of dollars for larger businesses. This is a concerning development for free speech advocates and raises questions about the role of government in regulating online content.
