Mysterious Nabi Sightings: A Decades-Long Bigfoot Enigma in North Carolina

In January 1979, three women driving down Highway 10 between Cassar and Polkville saw Nabi near some woods by a farm pond. One of the women, Gig, got out of the car and approached the creature, describing it as over six feet two inches tall and over 200 pounds with a pink face and wide nostrils. Jim Hollingsworth, an investigator with the North American Research Association, believed that the creature's cries matched descriptions of Sasquatch sounds heard in the western states. Hollingsworth also found a five-mile stretch of Bigfoot tracks in the area. Despite the numerous sightings and evidence, not everyone is convinced that Nabi is a Bigfoot. Some believe the creature is a bear or a panther, while others speculate it could be a carnival baboon who had escaped.
