While checking out an area by himself near Mount Shasta, he was bitten by a snake. After killing it, he passed out from the venom. When he regained consciousness, he found himself surrounded by three Bigfoot, who had treated his snake bite and were carrying him down a trail. In August 1970, a young woman from Wilsonville, Oregon, heard someone shooting in the woods on her farm. Armed with her shotgun, she went to chase the trespassers off her land. Upon reaching a barbed wire fence at the edge of the woods, something grabbed her and threw her back over the fence. She later described the assailant as a big, hairy, and smelly creature.
