In a recent video from the YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory, a man who goes by the name Don from Missouri Bigfoot Researchers on Facebook shares his personal encounters with Bigfoot. Don describes his first sighting as happening near his home in Merrimack Springs, where he was scouting for a hunting spot.
As Don was looking out over a cliff, he noticed a black animal on all fours moving through the woods. At first, he thought it was a turkey, but as he continued to observe, he realized it was much larger and moved differently than a turkey would. Don saw a black, hairy arm slowly hide behind a tree, and he knew then that it was not a turkey.
The arm Don saw had a "Christmas tree" look to it, with hair growing in different directions. The forearm was the same size as the upper arm, giving the creature incredible strength. Unfortunately, Don did not see the rest of the body, but the arm he saw was covered in three to five inches of hair.
Don's second encounter with Bigfoot happened a year later, on his own property in Crawford County. He had been out in the woods, looking for mushrooms and sheds, when he heard a noise and turned to see a Bigfoot standing up and walking away. Don was not afraid, but he was in a state of "Primal Fear," unable to think or move as his brain tried to process what he was seeing.
The Bigfoot that Don saw was squatting, and when it stood up, it did so without using its hands. Don believes that this is because the longer part of their shin is longer than their thigh, giving them incredible leg strength.
It's interesting to note that Don's encounters with Bigfoot happened during a difficult time in his life. Many people report seeing Bigfoot during times of stress or upheaval, which suggests that these creatures may have a calming or grounding effect on those who encounter them.
